xW is expected wins from the all-play record — what each week's score would have earned against the whole league instead of one scheduled opponent. Luck is actual wins minus that. Eff% is points scored as a share of the best lineup the roster could have fielded, which unlike luck is the manager's own doing. Regular season only.
Click either side of a matchup to see the roster that was set, with the bench underneath. Opt is the best lineup that roster could have produced.
Schedule luck
Positive means the schedule handed over wins the scores did not earn. All-play rate is computed per week before it is summed, so the 10-team and 12-team seasons are comparable.
Points left on the bench
The weeks with the largest gap between what was started and what was available. COST A WIN marks the ones where the optimal lineup would have flipped the result. Players on IR are excluded — ESPN would not have let them start.
